In the 4th minute, André Gaspar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lourenço Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Vítor Viegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Ferro in the 27th minute of play. Lourenço Nogueira took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vicente Castro. Vicente Castro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 70 minutes into the game, Manuel Coelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pataeiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Maxieira the free kick. In the 71st match minute, Pataeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Coelho to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Viegas made a great header on SC Maxieira's corner, it was just that Pataeiro's Vítor Viegas managed to reach the ball for a save. After 75 played minutes Pataeiro got a freekick which was hit by André Gaspar. Vasco Lisboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Viegas having to interfere. SC Maxieira's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
