Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Esteves to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Fernando Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zimbreira's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zimbreira's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nuno Viegas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mariano Pacheco tried in the game's 96th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Oliveira Pinto. An annoying self made goal, 2-3. The Zimbreira supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Maxieira's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Maxieira.
