The tension between the Cansado and the Alcanede players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Alcanede booed when Cansado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rui Anjos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Sousa having to interfere. Xavier Sousa was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Rui Anjos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rui Anjos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Nuno Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Jesus to make the kick off. If Óscar Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Óscar Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Assunção was extremely unlucky when he, in the 65th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Jesus in the 66th minute of play forced Alcanede's goalkeeper Eusébio Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69thth minute of the game Óscar Macedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cansado's Xavier Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rui Anjos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Xavier Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Alcanede's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Jesus came free, but Eusébio Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute Óscar Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavier Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Cansado defense, Óscar Macedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xavier Sousa. The Cansado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xavier Sousa should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Alcanede had won after a very even match.
