Tiago Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Vítor Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedreneiras's Vítor Santarém got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedreneiras's Alexandre Marques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Pedreneiras from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Cabecadas getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Lucas Miranda hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Tiago Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Pedreneiras's Alexandre Marques got control of the ball when Diogo Macedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vítor Santarém ran back to his position shaking his head. Alexandre Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Macedo in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pedreneiras eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
