In the 7th minute André Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Duarte Jesus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Álvaro Campos was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. After 22nd play minutes Duarte Jesus shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Álvaro Campos and just under the crossbar into goal. Álvaro Campos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasco Henriques in the 27th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Duarte Jesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Campos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Álvaro Campos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duarte Jesus in the 31st minute of play. João Dias charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Dias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Arrochela booed when SC Palacoulo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Palacoulo's António Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vítor Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusébio Mendes in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Álvaro Campos saved SC Palacoulo from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when André Queirós stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SC Arrochela's Paulo Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Pinho in the 52nd minute of play. Álvaro Campos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duarte Jesus, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Duarte Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th match minute, SC Palacoulo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Coelho to maneuver through the defense. António Pinho struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Paulo Viana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Palacoulo. SC Arrochela's Paulo Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Queirós in the 75th minute of play. If Vasco Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Mendes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Álvaro Campos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, SC Palacoulo's André Queirós sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Viana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to SC Arrochela getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Vasco Henriques hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, SC Palacoulo's Afonso Dantas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a little luck, SC Palacoulo's Álvaro Campos got control of the ball when Eusébio Mendes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, André Queirós notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of SC Arrochela's Paulo Viana. Paulo Viana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
