Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Paulo Trindade made the kick off and thus started the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Gonçalves during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. SC Rale's Inácio Paredes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but José Campos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. António Campos charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed António Campos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Rale getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. António Campos hit a great ball. When Sérgio Assunção, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 11 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Manuel Branco was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Sérgio Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquim Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but José Campos made a huge save. Joaquim Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. José Campos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Alexandre Moura sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because José Campos threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Alexandre Moura this time. Manuel Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílcar Almeida in the 33rd minute of the match. If Júlio Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Campos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquim Cruz went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to SC Pedorido getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Amílcar Almeida hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, SC Rale's Sérgio Porto got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 46th minute, Inácio Paredes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sérgio Assunção stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes SC Rale got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Moura. Júlio Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Pedorido's attack was well implemented in the 54th minute, but when Sérgio Assunção was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After a rather tough play, SC Rale's Vicente Trindade got a free kick in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Cruz in the 65th minute of play forced SC Pedorido's goalkeeper José Campos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Paulo Trindade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Campos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Paulo Trindade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute, SC Pedorido's Sérgio Assunção dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The audience was convinced that Sérgio Assunção's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Branco was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. José Campos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Trindade in the 90th minute of play. After 96 played minutes SC Rale got a freekick which was hit by António Campos. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
