After a defensive mix-up in SC Pedorido's zone, Jorge Setúbal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Campos came out of the goal and Jorge Setúbal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Setúbal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Campos having to interfere. Amílcar Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quelfes FC's André Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Ferro in the 15th minute of play. Jorge Setúbal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Campos having to interfere. The Quelfes FC fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Quelfes FC's Eusébio Porto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. José Campos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Setúbal, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Júlio Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sérgio Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Ferro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Sérgio Assunção made the kick off in the second half. SC Pedorido's Júlio Ferro came free and shot a quick shot against goal 53 minutes in the game, fortunately André Araújo had problems saving as it came toward the left post. After a rather tough play, SC Pedorido's Emílio Sá got a free kick in the 54th minute. The Quelfes FC fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Quelfes FC's Eusébio Porto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 61stth minute of the game Jorge Setúbal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Pedorido's José Campos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Júlio Ferro succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 63rd playminute. In the 67th minute Sérgio Assunção shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Araújo was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Júlio Ferro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Júlio Ferro really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. After a rather tough play, SC Pedorido's Sérgio Assunção got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Pedorido's goalkeeper José Campos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. José Campos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Porto in the 93rd minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Jorge Setúbal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quelfes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Setúbal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Campos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Setúbal in the 96th minute of the match.
