If Bernardo Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th match minute, Alquebre FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Martins to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but António Cunha made a huge save. Bento Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bento Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Cunha having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Alquebre FC's Afonso Sousa got a free kick in the 24th minute. João Cunha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardo Macedo went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Vilaca's zone, Bernardo Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Cunha came out of the goal and Bernardo Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Vilaca's Armando Freitas got a free kick in the 41st minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo Macedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diamantino Cabral's late challenge caught a Alquebre FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diamantino Cabral helped the player get up and apologised. Diamantino Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Amílcar Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. António Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Moutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Manuel Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute, Mariano Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bento Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. João Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Cunha was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bernardo Macedo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 65 minute of play. Alquebre FC's Bento Mota got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bento Mota struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. João Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alquebre FC. João Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Macedo in the 77th minute of play. Mariano Gonçalves hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. António Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Carvalho in the 84th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Ricardo Carvalho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vilaca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Alquebre FC were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Vilaca's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. José Martins took the corner. António Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Macedo in the 95th minute of play forced Vilaca's goalkeeper João Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
