Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Vítor Antunes made the kick off which started today's match. After 6 played minutes Maceirinha got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Vaz. Maceirinha's Inácio Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Fonseca in the 7th minute of play. After 11 minutes, Oliveira Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maceirinha and the SC Carvao players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 11 played minutes Maceirinha got a freekick which was hit by Oliveira Sá. Luís Henriques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Eusébio Ribeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maceirinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Carvao the free kick. In the 14th minute, Eusébio Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Carvao's Alexandre Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexandre Machado charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandre Machado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Carvao getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Alexandre Machado hit a great ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Pedro Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maceirinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Alexandre Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, SC Carvao's goalkeeper Jorge Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Almeida. In the 35th minute, Pedro Almeida ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Luís Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Inácio Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Cláudio Fonseca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Inácio Maia. Maceirinha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cláudio Fonseca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Sérgio Borba's late challenge caught a Maceirinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sérgio Borba helped the player get up and apologised. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Pedro Almeida's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Queirós read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Carvao's Ricardo Nogueira got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 65th minute, Cláudio Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maceirinha's Sandro Barros couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 66th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Carvao. Jorge Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Antunes in the 68th minute of the match. Vítor Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Maceirinha's zone, Luís Henriques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Maia came out of the goal and Luís Henriques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Carvao's Jorge Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Antunes in the 77th minute of play. In the 80thth minute of the game Vítor Antunes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Carvao's Jorge Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jorge Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Antunes in the 82nd minute of play. Jorge Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Almeida in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Carvao's Alexandre Sá got a free kick in the 94th minute. Luís Henriques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Inácio Maia made a huge save. Inácio Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute.
