In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Alfontes's goalkeeper Eusébio Paredes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SC Alfontes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Pinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eusébio Paredes having to make a save. 17 minutes into the match, Saudel's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Leão came free, but Alberto Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gil Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. João Cardoso was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 21st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The supporters of SC Alfontes booed when Saudel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Ferro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, André Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Leão made a kick off. Gil Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emílio Macedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eusébio Paredes having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Alfontes had won after a very even match.
