The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Henriques during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Alanhosa's Miguel Henriques got a free kick in the 6th minute. Álvaro Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Ferro having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Alanhosa's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Abreu came free, but Álvaro Ferro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Álvaro Abreu succeeded in the game's 11th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. In the 17th minute Albertino Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Ricardo Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Montarroio FC's Fernando Guerreiro tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. André Figueiredo might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Álvaro Ferro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Figueiredo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 25th match minute, Alanhosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Sousa to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Guerreiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Álvaro Ferro. Alanhosa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Álvaro Ferro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After recieving a nice pass, Montarroio FC's Fernando Guerreiro tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Figueiredo got free with Álvaro Ferro in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Álvaro Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Álvaro Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorge Veiga was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Alanhosa getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. António Sousa hit a great ball. Jorge Veiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th match minute, Alanhosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. Álvaro Ferro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Abreu in the 77th minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, Alanhosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Sousa to maneuver through the defense. Xavier Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Álvaro Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
