Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Afonso Valente started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Valente in the 3rd minute of play forced SC Montezinho's goalkeeper Carlos Trindade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquim Martins made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Augusto Miranda sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Trindade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Dias in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute Augusto Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Valente in the 12th minute of play forced SC Montezinho's goalkeeper Carlos Trindade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, SC Montezinho's Joaquim Martins threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Afonso Ferro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Afonso Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SC Montezinho getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Alberto Borges hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Afonso Valente left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aboim FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Joaquim Martins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Miranda in the 25th minute. Afonso Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Carlos Trindade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, SC Montezinho's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Dias came free, but Carlos Trindade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Joaquim Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Trindade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Dias in the 41st minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonso Ferro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SC Montezinho's Carlos Trindade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Valente in the 51st minute of play. Joaquim Castro hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Fernando Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Trindade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusébio Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. When Afonso Valente fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aboim FC's protests and gave Afonso Valente a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes Aboim FC got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Valente. Carlos Trindade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Valente in the 63rd minute of the match. Afonso Valente took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Trindade. Carlos Trindade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 67 minutes into the match, Aboim FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Ferro came free, but Joaquim Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Aboim FC's Afonso Valente in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Montezinho's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Tomás Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Montezinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Barbosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Martins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 78 minutes, Afonso Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aboim FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Valente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Augusto Miranda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquim Martins was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. After 83 minutes of play, SC Montezinho's Augusto Miranda made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquim Martins was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alberto Borges charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Borges the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Aboim FC booed when SC Montezinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Aboim FC's Afonso Valente dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. The Aboim FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aboim FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
