In the 5th minute, Jaime Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Trindade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Lisboa in the 7th minute of the match. A collision led to Idaes FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Fernando Gonçalves hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Veiga in the 10th minute of play forced Idaes FC's goalkeeper Paulo Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Trindade didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Heitor Pereira went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Idaes FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jaime Brito hit a great ball. Carlos Trindade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Lisboa in the 19th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Idaes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Ferro came free, but Paulo Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Lisboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Trindade having to interfere. After having played for 26 minutes, Augusto Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Montezinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When SC Montezinho's Afonso Ferro in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Idaes FC's goalie prevented a goal. 36 minutes into the match, Idaes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Miranda came free, but Paulo Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th of the match, Artur Lisboa tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Carlos Trindade got in the way and made a wonderful save. Idaes FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marco Pedroso in the 41st minute. In the 47th minute there was a penalty for SC Montezinho. Joaquim Veiga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Paulo Coelho. 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonso Ferro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Artur Lisboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Carlos Trindade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Augusto Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Idaes FC's zone, Augusto Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Coelho came out of the goal and Augusto Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Artur Lisboa came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Idaes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Lisboa couldn't finish the play. Heitor Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Trindade having to interfere. After 65 minutes, Alberto Borges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Montezinho and the Idaes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th match minute, SC Montezinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Borges to maneuver through the defense. If Afonso Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to SC Montezinho getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Joaquim Veiga hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, SC Montezinho's Joaquim Castro got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 89 minutes of play SC Montezinho's Alberto Borges was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Carlos Trindade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heitor Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 92nd match minute, SC Montezinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Miranda to maneuver through the defense.
