Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Artur Porto kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Juncais FC's Bento Andrade got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After 4 played minutes, Mendonca FC's Paulo Pinho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vicente Ribeiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mendonca FC reached it. Rafael Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Mendonca FC booed when Juncais FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vítor Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amílcar Moniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Vicente Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amílcar Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vicente Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílcar Moniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Amílcar Moniz might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vicente Ribeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amílcar Moniz ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Juncais FC's João Miranda got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 38th minute, Fernando Figueiredo made a precise shot to the right of Vicente Ribeiro. Juncais FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Amílcar Moniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Vicente Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Mendonca FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amílcar Moniz was the one to do the kick off. Amílcar Moniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Ribeiro having to interfere. Vítor Mendes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Vicente Ribeiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cristóvão Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Assis having to interfere. A collision led to Juncais FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Albertino Pinto hit a great ball. Armindo Assis came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Juncais FC's Artur Porto. But to his dismay, Artur Porto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 78th minute, Rafael Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Artur Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artur Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Armindo Assis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mendonca FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
