Cândido Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Guerreiro having to interfere. Lourenço Castro hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Pedro Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Guarda, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 68th minute Cândido Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Guerreiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cândido Pinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Inácio Guerreiro having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Guarda in the 77th minute of play forced Carricos's goalkeeper Pedro Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Tavares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Miguel Macedo hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Diogo Delgado's late challenge caught a Rendo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diogo Delgado helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Carricos getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Diogo Delgado hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Afonso Guarda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Valente in the 91st minute of play forced Carricos's goalkeeper Pedro Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Carricos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
