Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bernardo Ramos started the match with the kick off. Manuel Coelho made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Pedro Pereira sent off a good shot on target. Manuel Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Valente, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 19th minute, Nuno Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Quimbres fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! Nuno Matias shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 32 minutes into the match, SC Quimbres's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Valente came free, but Manuel Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valadares's Sérgio Moniz suffered a sore thigh after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Paulo Ferro kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Manuel Coelho was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nuno Matias. Pedro Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Coelho having to interfere. When Paulo Ferro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes had been played. In the 39th minute, Paulo Ferro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Manuel Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Coelho having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Pereira was the one to do the kick off. Manuel Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Pereira in the 58th minute of play. If Pedro Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Coelho having to interfere. Afonso Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Pedro Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valadares's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Quimbres's Afonso Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, SC Quimbres's Lourenço Esteves broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Chants of SC Quimbres echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Valadares had held the ball for most of the match.
