After a defensive mix-up in Comaros FC's zone, Ricardo Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Rodrigues came out of the goal and Ricardo Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardo Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tiago Rodrigues made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Marco Amaral sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Marco Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marzugueira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiago Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Marzugueira FC's Raul Araújo got a free kick in the 12th minute. After having played for 14 minutes, Ricardo Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marzugueira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Amaral succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 16th playminute. Mário Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Alves in the 20th minute of the match. Catarino Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Pinheiro having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Marzugueira FC's Marco Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiago Rodrigues narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Marco Amaral could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Tiago Rodrigues however easily saved by the left post. Catarino Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Catarino Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Mário Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Comaros FC's Tiago Rodrigues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Comaros FC from getting a goal against them. Sérgio Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Filipe Alves made the kick off in the second half. When Marco Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Marzugueira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Amaral couldn't finish the play. After 52 played minutes Comaros FC got a freekick which was hit by Viriato Campos. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Ricardo Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marzugueira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiago Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th minute Marco Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 59 minutes, Catarino Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Comaros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Catarino Neto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mário Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Alves in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Marzugueira FC's Sérgio Vaz got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute, Viriato Campos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filipe Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Gonçalves might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiago Rodrigues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Gonçalves ran back to his position shaking his head. Marco Amaral struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Tiago Rodrigues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marzugueira FC. Catarino Neto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Mário Pinheiro made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Alves in the 85th minute of play forced Marzugueira FC's goalkeeper Mário Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mário Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
