Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomás Paredes started the match with the kick off. Carlos Santos scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Matias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Gales FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Alvarenga:s goal. Luís Baptista walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Joel Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Emanuel Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Joel Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Santos having to interfere. After 25 played minutes SC Alvarenga got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Pinto. Joel Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Emanuel Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute Tomás Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonso Pinto during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, SC Alvarenga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Pinto to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Correia in the 37th minute of play forced SC Alvarenga's goalkeeper Emanuel Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 played minutes SC Alvarenga got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Melo. Cristiano Reis missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 40 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Emanuel Santos right hand side. The audience was convinced that Tomás Paredes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Santos was relentless in the 46th minute of the game.

The wind increased when Gustavo Henriques made the kick off in the second half. Afonso Pinto was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 61st minute, Afonso Pinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomás Paredes struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Emanuel Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gales FC. Joel Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Santos having to interfere. If Tomás Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SC Alvarenga getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Adelino Melo hit a great ball. In the 76th match minute, SC Alvarenga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Henriques to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Gales FC's Alfredo Matos got a free kick in the 79th minute. Luís Baptista, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Carlos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Matias having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, António Garcia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emanuel Santos. The goal made the score 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
