Marco Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the game, Marco Pereira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Viriato Viegas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alexandre Esteves might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amílcar Vaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandre Esteves ran back to his position shaking his head. 11 minutes into the match, Nagosa's Alexandre Esteves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amílcar Vaz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amílcar Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Tavares in the 12th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Afonso Tavares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amílcar Vaz was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Nagosa's Alexandre Esteves got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Nagosa's zone, Marco Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viriato Viegas came out of the goal and Marco Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandre Esteves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amílcar Vaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Barreiro FC's Pedro Mota got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Amílcar Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Afonso Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Amílcar Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Nagosa getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Marco Paiva hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Nagosa's goalkeeper Viriato Viegas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Pereira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Azevedo in the 40th minute of play forced Nagosa's goalkeeper Viriato Viegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Vítor Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barreiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viriato Viegas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amílcar Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Esteves in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Esteves got free with Amílcar Vaz in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexandre Estevess short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Amílcar Vaz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Amílcar Vaz managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Nagosa's Alexandre Esteves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pedro Mota charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Mota the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 62 played minutes Barreiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Mota. In the 70th match minute, Barreiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Mota to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Tavares in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amílcar Vaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Afonso Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Amílcar Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee gave Nagosa a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marco Paiva, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Barreiro FC's Amílcar Vaz. 1-2. Alexandre Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Nagosa eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
