After a defensive mix-up in Barreiro FC's zone, Francisco Delgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amílcar Vaz came out of the goal and Francisco Delgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute, Longos FC's João Pinheiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amílcar Vaz. Amílcar Vaz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Fernando Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amílcar Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pinheiro in the 14th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Longos FC's João Pinheiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. João Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Amílcar Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Abreu having to interfere. In the 37th minute João Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílcar Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fernando Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Pereira in the 41st minute of play forced Longos FC's goalkeeper André Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th match minute, Barreiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Assunção to maneuver through the defense. When Fernando Porto came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Longos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Porto couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Vítor Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. Vítor Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. André Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Porto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amílcar Vaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. With a little luck, Longos FC's André Abreu got control of the ball when Marco Pereira tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pinheiro in the 68th minute of play forced Barreiro FC's goalkeeper Amílcar Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Barreiro FC's André Araújo got a free kick in the 69th minute. André Abreu made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Marco Pereira sent off a good shot on target. In the 76th minute, Basílio Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute.
