Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Lúcio Viana started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 3 played minutes SC Cruzeiro got a freekick which was hit by António Magalhães. André Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Torres having to interfere. After 9 played minutes SC Cruzeiro got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Viana. When André Martins came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Tareja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Martins couldn't finish the play. Hugo Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Moreira in the 14th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Lúcio Viana rounded Tareja's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. André Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Moreira in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Torres saved SC Cruzeiro from getting behind. André Martins took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Torres. Hugo Torres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 32 minutes into the game, Eusébio Simões was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Cruzeiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tareja the free kick. In the 32nd match minute, SC Cruzeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Simões to maneuver through the defense. Afonso Domingues, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Jorge Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 minutes, Diamantino Pinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tareja and the SC Cruzeiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SC Cruzeiro booed when Tareja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tareja's zone, Eusébio Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Guerreiro came out of the goal and Eusébio Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Lúcio Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amadeu Guerreiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Viana in the 44th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Eusébio Simões fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Amadeu Guerreiro, passed just outside the right post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorge Moreira to make the kick off. André Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugo Torres made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Martins in the 55th minute. Eusébio Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Amadeu Guerreiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Torres having to interfere. Jorge Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Hugo Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusébio Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amadeu Guerreiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the game, SC Cruzeiro's Eusébio Matos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amadeu Guerreiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 79thth minute of the game Eusébio Matos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tareja's Amadeu Guerreiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 80th minute Lúcio Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Guerreiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Tareja's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Viana came free, but Amadeu Guerreiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Tareja's Jorge Moreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Torres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to SC Cruzeiro getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Carlos Barros hit a great ball. Jorge Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes in the game, Jorge Moreira fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hugo Torres having to interfere. SC Cruzeiro's Hugo Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Moreira in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tareja players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Cruzeiro.
