Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. José Queirós started the match with the kick off. With his leg Xavier Azevedo managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when Silveirinho FC's João Trindade fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Paulo Castro hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute of the match Jorge Coelho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diogo Neves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Oliveira Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. José Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Coimbra in the 15th minute of play forced Silveirinho FC's goalkeeper Diogo Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Mezio's Cristiano Macedo got a free kick in the 21st minute. An unexpected shot in the 34th minute by João Trindade got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Castro during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 38 played minutes Silveirinho FC got a freekick which was hit by José Melo. After 41 minutes Silveirinho FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jorge Coelho who took care of the corner kick. SC Mezio's Jorge Coelho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Diogo Neves in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. João Trindade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Azevedo having to interfere. Cristiano Macedo's late challenge caught a Silveirinho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Macedo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Mezio getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Cristiano Macedo hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the match, SC Mezio's goalkeeper Xavier Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Trindade. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mário Assis was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, José Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diogo Neves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Coimbra in the 57th minute. A collision led to SC Mezio getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Fernando Coimbra hit a great ball. In the 66thth minute of the game João Trindade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Mezio's Xavier Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 73rd minute Silveirinho FC were awarded a corner. Vítor Monteiro went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, João Trindade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Silveirinho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Trindade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavier Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute João Trindade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavier Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 85 minutes, José Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Mezio's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xavier Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mário Assis's shot from short distance in the 91st minute.
