Emílio Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Emílio Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Lodoes's Alexandre Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute Alexandre Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Granjinha's goalkeeper Emílio Martins had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emílio Barbosa. David Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafael Reis struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Bento Araújo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Granjinha. In the 23rd minute, SC Lodoes's Alexandre Moura dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Rafael Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emílio Martins made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Emílio Barbosa sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, David Morais managed to get in a good position for a shot. Granjinha's supporters rose to their feet, but David Morais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bento Araújo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some careless play in the SC Lodoes defense, Pedro Paredes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bento Araújo. The SC Lodoes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bento Araújo should have stopped the shot. David Morais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Emílio Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. SC Lodoes's Emílio Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Afonso Torres struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Emílio Martins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Lodoes. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Moura in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emílio Martins saved Granjinha from getting behind. Granjinha's Emílio Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Moura in the 83rd minute of play. When Rafael Reis came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Granjinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Reis couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
