Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Argaselo's Hugo Faro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amílcar Matos during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 3 played minutes SC Argaselo got a freekick which was hit by Amílcar Matos. The supporters of SC Argaselo booed when Zimbreirinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Moniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute Lucas Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Gueifão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucas Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. António Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 played minutes Zimbreirinha got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Mendes. António Assunção was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 33rd minute. Zimbreirinha's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 40th minute, Eusébio Ramos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Argaselo's goalkeeper Humberto Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Zimbreirinha's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Faro came free, but António Gueifão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eusébio Ramos to strike the kick off in the second half. Lucas Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. António Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eusébio Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SC Argaselo's zone, António Assunção stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Santos came out of the goal and António Assunção tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Humberto Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. António Gueifão made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Lucas Dantas sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Ramos in the 81st minute of play forced SC Argaselo's goalkeeper Humberto Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Eusébio Ramos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Humberto Santos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Lucas Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Argaselo's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Dantas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Gueifão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th match minute, SC Argaselo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Andrade to maneuver through the defense.
