Bento Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Queirós having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Dantas in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artur Nunes saved SC Podence from getting behind. Oliveira Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. If Sandro Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 played minutes SC Podence got a freekick which was hit by Catarino Moura. 17 minutes into the match, SC Barreira's Jacinto Dantas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 18th play minutes Sandro Carneiro shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Artur Nunes and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, SC Podence's Catarino Moura got a free kick in the 26th minute. Augusto Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Catarino Moura got his second yellow card in the match during the 29th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 30 played minutes SC Podence got a freekick which was hit by Catarino Moura. SC Barreira's Augusto Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bento Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Hélder Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bento Porto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Hélder Queirós made a huge save. Bento Porto scored 1-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hélder Queirós, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bento Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Hélder Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Manuel Macedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Barreira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Podence the free kick.

The wind increased when Bento Porto made the kick off in the second half. Manuel Macedo was shown his second yellow card after 51 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Hélder Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bento Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Artur Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Augusto Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. One of SC Barreira:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Podence:s goal. Gonçalo Almeida might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélder Queirós. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gonçalo Almeida ran back to his position shaking his head. SC Podence's Artur Nunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save SC Podence from getting a goal against them. 99 minutes into the match, SC Podence's Bento Porto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hélder Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Barreira players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Podence.
