Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bento Neto kicked off to start the match. SC Barreira were furious when Rafael Alves was red carded, 3 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Barreira fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! Albertino Teixeira shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 9th minute Bento Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Serraquinhos FC's goalkeeper Oliveira Martins had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Dantas. Oliveira Martins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Dantas went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 18 minutes into the match, SC Barreira's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Neto came free, but Hélder Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, António Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Serraquinhos FC's Albertino Teixeira got a free kick in the 21st minute. Augusto Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When António Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Serraquinhos FC's protests and gave António Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. António Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Augusto Dantas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Oliveira Martins made a huge save. Hélder Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Resende in the 30th minute of the match. Hélder Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Resende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Dantas struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Oliveira Martins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Barreira. Hélder Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Resende, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 43rd match minute, SC Barreira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Dantas to maneuver through the defense. Augusto Dantas struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Oliveira Martins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Barreira. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto Dantas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bento Neto in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hélder Queirós saved SC Barreira from getting behind. After 59 minutes, Manuel Macedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Barreira and the Serraquinhos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manuel Macedo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. SC Barreira's Hélder Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bento Neto in the 73rd minute of play. Oliveira Martins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Dantas's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Augusto Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute Bento Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Barreira's goalkeeper Hélder Queirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Augusto Dantas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oliveira Martins. Serraquinhos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Dantas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Barreira fans cheered their team off the field, for while Serraquinhos FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
