In the 4th minute, Tomás Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joaquim Faro hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute Tomás Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Moutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bento Borba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Moutinho having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Bento Borba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Humberto Neto was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Hélder Carneiro. Joel Moutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Torres might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joel Moutinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Torres ran back to his position shaking his head. Humberto Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After a rather tough play, Sobrado FC's Lucas Neto got a free kick in the 45th minute. After 46 played minutes, SC Capelinha's Júlio Assunção shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joel Moutinho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Capelinha reached it. Bento Borba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ricardo Pereira made the kick off in the second half. Humberto Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Pacheco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ricardo Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Torres got free with Joel Moutinho in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute, Tomás Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Moutinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bento Borba went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of SC Capelinha booed when Sobrado FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Moutinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bento Borba's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Ricardo Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Neto came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Sobrado FC's Ricardo Pereira. But to his dismay, Ricardo Pereira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 85th minute, Ricardo Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to SC Capelinha getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Carlos Pires hit a great ball. When Tomás Torres came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the SC Capelinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Torres couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the match, SC Capelinha's Bento Borba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Moutinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The SC Capelinha players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Sobrado FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
