Augusto Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Marques having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Augusto Delgado took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Viriato Marques to make any attempt to save it. 1-1 became the score in the 15th minute when Lucas Azevedo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Rui Reis might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Viriato Marques. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rui Reis ran back to his position shaking his head. Viriato Marques made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Rui Reis sent off a good shot on target. 26 minutes into the match, Canhas's Rui Reis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Viriato Marques narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Domingos Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diogo Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Azevedo in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Canhas's Ricardo Correia got a free kick in the 34th minute. Lucas Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Brito having to interfere. Augusto Delgado was extremely unlucky when he, in the 42nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Azevedo was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Lucas Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bespeira's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diogo Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Domingos Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Brito having to interfere. In the 57th play minute Domingos Figueiredo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Diogo Brito. 2-2. Viriato Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Delgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Domingos Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Brito having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Domingos Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. After 80 minutes, Raul Marques mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bespeira and the Canhas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th minute, Raul Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the game, Canhas's Augusto Delgado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Viriato Marques made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. After some careless play in the Bespeira defense, Augusto Delgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Viriato Marques. The Bespeira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Viriato Marques should have stopped the shot. Canhas's Rui Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Delgado in the 96th minute of play forced Bespeira's goalkeeper Viriato Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bespeira players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Canhas.
