Cristiano Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viriato Pinho was the one to do the kick off. Sandro Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Figueiredo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Copeira's zone, Viriato Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Figueiredo came out of the goal and Viriato Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, Amílcar Cabral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xavier Lopes. Choes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amílcar Cabral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 87 minutes into the match, Choes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amílcar Cabral came free, but Xavier Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Carlos Machado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xavier Lopes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 96 minutes into the game, Sandro Moreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Cristiano Figueiredo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Copeira had won after a very even match.
