In the 7th minute Rafael Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Américo Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee ignored Portunhos FC's protests and gave Daniel Ferro a yellow card for diving instead. Lucas Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Américo Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Rafael Matos put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Américo Fonseca. Miguel Lima in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Manuel Brás, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 20 minutes into the game, Henrique Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Lufinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portunhos FC the free kick. Henrique Silva hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Manuel Brás made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Lima in the 21st minute. Portunhos FC's Américo Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Pinheiro in the 24th minute of play. Américo Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Rafael Matos struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Américo Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Lufinha. But to his dismay, Lucas Pinheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Américo Fonseca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael Matos's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute, Daniel Ferro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Manuel Brás stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of António Aleixo's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Lucas Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Fonseca having to interfere. If Lucas Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, SC Lufinha's Lucas Pinheiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. In the 73rd minute, Daniel Ferro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Américo Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Rafael Matos notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Portunhos FC's Américo Fonseca. Américo Fonseca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
