Marco Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Fonseca having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Miguel Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portunhos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardo Guerreiro was extremely unlucky when he, in the 15th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Costa got free with Américo Fonseca in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marco Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Américo Fonseca made a huge save. Bernardo Guerreiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 24th minute. Estoris FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 24th match minute, Estoris FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Barros to maneuver through the defense. Portunhos FC's Américo Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Portunhos FC from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute, Tomás Moutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. António Aleixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Gabriel Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and António Aleixo made a kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Portunhos FC's António Aleixo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabriel Antunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Portunhos FC's zone, Bernardo Guerreiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Américo Fonseca came out of the goal and Bernardo Guerreiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Ferro charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Ferro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Daniel Ferro hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Bernardo Guerreiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Américo Fonseca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Marco Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, André Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute, Miguel Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Antunes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Estoris FC's Gabriel Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Aleixo in the 76th minute of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Marco Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estoris FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marco Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Estoris FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Antunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Daniel Ferro came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Portunhos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Ferro couldn't finish the play. If Marco Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Portunhos FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
