Gil Pires was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Xavier Matos came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the SC Prezas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavier Matos couldn't finish the play. In the 21st match minute, SC Prezas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Antunes to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Mouguelas's Gil Pires broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, José Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mouguelas's supporters rose to their feet, but José Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Leal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Eusébio Cabral fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Prezas's protests and gave Eusébio Cabral a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Prezas's Eusébio Cabral got a free kick in the 25th minute. Jorge Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Pires in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Leal saved SC Prezas from getting behind. SC Prezas's Vicente Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Pires in the 31st minute of play. José Mendes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 33rd playminute. Xavier Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Pires stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Afonso Setúbal struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Vicente Leal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mouguelas. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Alfredo Setúbal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 57 minutes into the game, SC Prezas's Xavier Matos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Diamantino Amaro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 62nd minute Alfredo Setúbal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Pires in the 67th minute of the match. If José Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Martins struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Diamantino Amaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Prezas. Xavier Matos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Diamantino Amaro made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Pires in the 80th minute of play forced SC Prezas's goalkeeper Vicente Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th match minute, SC Prezas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Antunes to maneuver through the defense. After 88 minutes, Joaquim Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Prezas and the Mouguelas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th minute, one of SC Prezas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Prezas. José Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Mouguelas booed when SC Prezas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Prezas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
