The supporters of Tabuas booed when Brejenjas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Aleixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Aleixo kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Aleixo in the 29th minute of play forced Tabuas's goalkeeper Jorge Viegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brejenjas's Emanuel Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Brejenjas from getting a goal against them. After having played for 36 minutes, André Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tabuas's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Moreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th match minute, Brejenjas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Esteves to maneuver through the defense. Tabuas's Ricardo Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Paulo Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ricardo Freitas to strike the kick off in the second half. Jorge Viegas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abel Aleixo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 73 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Paulo Coelho put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Emanuel Azevedo. After a defensive mix-up in Brejenjas's zone, Paulo Coelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Azevedo came out of the goal and Paulo Coelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute, Ricardo Freitas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Freitas in the 90th minute of the match. Catarino Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
