The audience thought a goal was coming when Inácio Martins got free with Miguel Vale in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th minute, Rodrigo Pires fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Miguel Vale, passed just outside the right post. 12 minutes into the match, SC Ameixeraria's goal looked a bit too open when David Amaral came free, but Oliveira Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the SC Ameixeraria defense, David Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oliveira Dias. The SC Ameixeraria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oliveira Dias should have stopped the shot. Miguel Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Pires in the 17th minute of the match. Rodrigo Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Miguel Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Henrique Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Ameixeraria's protests and gave Henrique Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes SC Ameixeraria got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Carvalho. SC Ameixeraria's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by André Viegas in the 31st minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when David Amaral made the kick off in the second half. Miguel Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Pires in the 54th minute of play. Miguel Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Pires in the 56th minute of the match. David Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, SC Ameixeraria's Oliveira Dias got control of the ball when David Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line.
