The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 13 minutes, Nuno Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magrelos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th minute, Nuno Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Pedro Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Costa in the 34th minute of the match. Nuno Costa struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Pedro Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Magrelos FC. A collision led to Magrelos FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Fábio Cunha hit a great ball. If Emílio Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After a rather tough play, Casal's Rui Marques got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Emílio Miranda was extremely unlucky when he, in the 58th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 59th minute Emílio Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 62 played minutes Casal got a freekick which was hit by Rui Marques. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Daniel Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Casal's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Casal's goalkeeper Pedro Amaral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Hugo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 played minutes Casal got a freekick which was hit by João Amaro. Daniel Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Magrelos FC's goalkeeper Rafael Marques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlos Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Casal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cláudio Baptista in the 90th minute. The corner led Casal's Cláudio Baptista to fire away a dangerous shot which Rafael Marques despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Pedro Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Costa in the 91st minute of the match. José Alves might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Alves ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
