Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Caxias FC's Ricardo Carvalho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Caxias FC's Vasco Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Carvalho in the 4th minute of play forced Oleirinhos's goalkeeper Bento Amaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eduardo Neves came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Oleirinhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Neves couldn't finish the play. Nuno Viana hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Eduardo Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vasco Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eduardo Neves came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Oleirinhos fans jumped to their feet. Nuno Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Vasco Simões could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Bento Amaro made a huge save. Vasco Simões who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Bento Amaro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 32nd match minute, Oleirinhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Abel Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Neves in the 35th minute of play. Caxias FC's Abel Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Neves in the 37th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Eduardo Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bento Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diamantino Reis made a kick off. Bento Amaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Carvalho in the 53rd minute of the match. Vasco Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Oleirinhos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Ricardo Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Caxias FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Oleirinhos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
