Paulo Alves made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Gaspar Cruz sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Terlamonte FC booed when SC Olivaes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th match minute, SC Olivaes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Bernardo Leiria sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Olivaes's Paulo Alves didn't even have to move. SC Olivaes's Paulo Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save SC Olivaes from getting a goal against them. A collision led to SC Olivaes getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Raul Barbosa hit a great ball. Joel Pinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Tavares in the 17th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, SC Olivaes's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Cruz came free, but Paulo Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Terlamonte FC's Gaspar Cruz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Alves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute SC Olivaes were awarded a corner. Pedro Mota went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to SC Olivaes's João Veiga getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Rui Tavares took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Pinto. Joel Pinto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Gaspar Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Alves having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rui Tavares to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Artur Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Terlamonte FC and the SC Olivaes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, Terlamonte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Sousa to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, SC Olivaes's Rui Tavares ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joel Pinto. Joel Pinto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Joel Pinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Terlamonte FC's Artur Sousa got his second yellow card of the match in the 61st minute. The referee ordered Artur Sousa off the ground. Rui Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Pinto having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaspar Cruz during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SC Olivaes booed when Terlamonte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaspar Cruz got his second yellow card in the match during the 70th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 70 played minutes Terlamonte FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Cruz. Rui Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Pinto having to interfere. After having played for 83 minutes, Alfredo Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Terlamonte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rui Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Pinto having to interfere. With an all-out effort, SC Olivaes's Joel Pinto threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rui Tavares, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. SC Olivaes's Pedro Porto suffered a concussion after 95 minutes and had to leave the field. When Hugo Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Terlamonte FC's protests and gave Hugo Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Olivaes booed when Terlamonte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The SC Olivaes players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
