Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luís Porto started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, SC Casqueira's Tomás Luz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tomás Luz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SC Casqueira protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tomás Luz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Casqueira! The audience thought a goal was coming when Heitor Moreira got free with Catarino Moniz in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ricardo Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Catarino Moniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Piares FC booed when SC Casqueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duarte Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Catarino Moniz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eusébio Melo. After having played for 19 minutes, Óscar Setúbal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Casqueira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Óscar Setúbal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 minutes, Duarte Viana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Casqueira and the Piares FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Catarino Moniz was a little too slow when Ricardo Castro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-0. Óscar Setúbal struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Américo Gaspar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Casqueira. After a rather tough play, Piares FC's Henrique Moutinho got a free kick in the 31st minute. Vítor Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Ricardo Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piares FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Catarino Moniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Piares FC's Américo Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Óscar Setúbal in the 36th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Heitor Moreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Catarino Moniz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Américo Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Óscar Setúbal in the 46th minute of play. Júlio Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Gaspar having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricardo Castro was the one to do the kick off. Heitor Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Piares FC's Ricardo Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Heitor Moreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Júlio Maia during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Piares FC booed when SC Casqueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 63 played minutes SC Casqueira got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Moura. In the 66thth minute of the game Ricardo Castro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Casqueira's Catarino Moniz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Duarte Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, SC Casqueira's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Castro came free, but Catarino Moniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Piares FC's Heitor Moreira got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SC Casqueira's Óscar Setúbal got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júlio Figueiredo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. SC Casqueira's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 92 minutes of play, Piares FC's Heitor Moreira made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Catarino Moniz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Piares FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Casqueira for a fine match.
