Eusébio Melo, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 8th match minute, Langra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Pereira to maneuver through the defense. Humberto Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Heitor Moreira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 21st playminute. Heitor Moreira came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Humberto Mendes could save by the left post. Ricardo Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Mendes having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ricardo Castro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Humberto Mendes. That made the score 2-0 in the 29 minute of play. Luís Brito took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Américo Gaspar. Américo Gaspar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Óscar Fontes's late challenge caught a Piares FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Óscar Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute, Óscar Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Mendes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Heitor Moreira in the 41st minute. If Heitor Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Castro to make the kick off. When Heitor Moreira fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piares FC's protests and gave Heitor Moreira a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Piares FC's Heitor Moreira got a free kick in the 55th minute. If Óscar Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute, Óscar Fontes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Langra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. In the 80th match minute, Langra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Pereira to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Langra's zone, Heitor Moreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Mendes came out of the goal and Heitor Moreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ricardo Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Óscar Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henrique Moutinho's late challenge caught a Langra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henrique Moutinho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, Henrique Moutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Piares FC's goalkeeper Américo Gaspar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Óscar Fontes. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Langra had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
