Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vicente Freitas kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Martins in the 3rd minute of play forced SC Guimarais's goalkeeper Abel Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Fernando Viegas came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the SC Guimarais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Viegas couldn't finish the play. Manuel Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th match minute, SC Vermoim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Almeida to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, SC Guimarais's Gabriel Antunes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 16th match minute, SC Vermoim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfim Rocha to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Manuel Moreira managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when SC Guimarais's Fernando Viegas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to SC Vermoim getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Alexandre Fonseca hit a great ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Vasco Macedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Guimarais's Abel Rocha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manuel Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Vermoim's goalkeeper Manuel Moreira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 26 minutes of play, SC Guimarais's Fernando Viegas made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Moreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th minute of the match Joaquim Ferro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel Rocha skillfully saved the ball. SC Guimarais's Abel Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasco Macedo in the 45th minute of play. Vicente Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacinto Martins was the one to do the kick off. When SC Guimarais's Vicente Freitas in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 67thth minute of the game Vicente Freitas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Vermoim's Manuel Moreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Delfim Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Vermoim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Guimarais the free kick. After 67 played minutes SC Vermoim got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Rocha. If Jacinto Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Rocha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacinto Martins's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. A collision led to SC Vermoim getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Alexandre Fonseca hit a great ball. If Vicente Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 played minutes, SC Guimarais's Cristiano Gonçalves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Manuel Moreira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Guimarais reached it. 86 minutes into the match, Fernando Viegas notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of SC Vermoim's Manuel Moreira. Manuel Moreira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vasco Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Guimarais were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Vermoim for a fine match.
