Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jacinto Martins made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Vasco Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Vermoim's supporters rose to their feet, but Vasco Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Aguiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When SC Vermoim's Jacinto Martins in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ima's goalie prevented a goal. After recieving a nice pass, SC Vermoim's Inácio Ferro tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, SC Vermoim's Vasco Macedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Aguiar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Viriato Leal hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Macedo in the 13th minute of play forced Ima's goalkeeper Alexandre Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ima's Viriato Leal got a free kick in the 14th minute. Alexandre Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasco Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Heitor Costa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manuel Moreira. That made the score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. In the 34th minute, Ima's Heitor Costa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manuel Moreira. Manuel Moreira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto Martins in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Aguiar saved Ima from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Ima's zone, Alexandre Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Aguiar came out of the goal and Alexandre Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacinto Martins scored 2-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexandre Aguiar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 47 minutes into the match, Jacinto Martins had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexandre Aguiar. Ima's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacinto Martins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Heitor Costa was the one to do the kick off. If Vasco Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heitor Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Heitor Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Manuel Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Heitor Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heitor Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heitor Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Moreira having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Martins during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ima booed when SC Vermoim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ima's zone, Jacinto Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Aguiar came out of the goal and Jacinto Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cândido Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Jacinto Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Alexandre Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto Martins in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Aguiar saved Ima from getting behind. Jacinto Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 85th minute of the match Viriato Leal completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Viriato Leal a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Viriato Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Jacinto Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Alexandre Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Heitor Costa hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Alexandre Aguiar acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 92nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Inácio Ferro. 95 minutes into the match, Ima's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Martins came free, but Alexandre Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
