In the 27th minute Joaquim Setúbal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Branco in the 38th minute of play forced SC Abadessa's goalkeeper Sérgio Paredes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Joaquim Setúbal came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the SC Abadessa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Setúbal couldn't finish the play. Sérgio Paredes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Marques in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miguel Alves to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Souzela FC's Lúcio Maia got control of the ball when Joaquim Setúbal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lúcio Maia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Marco Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute Miguel Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Joaquim Setúbal came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the SC Abadessa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Setúbal couldn't finish the play. The Souzela FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Abadessa's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Abadessa.
