Porcarica FC's Lúcio Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Carneiro in the 14th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Eduardo Faro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Viriato Miranda. Eduardo Faro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Porcarica FC's Américo Guerreiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Viriato Miranda. That made the score 3-0 after 38 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
