Paulo Ribeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mário Pinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Paulo Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Domingos Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Rebordoza FC's Simão Pinto got a free kick in the 12th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Coelho in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Viegas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SC Sibilheiro's Domingos Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafael Viegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Coelho in the 16th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of SC Sibilheiro:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rebordoza FC:s goal. Paulo Coelho was extremely unlucky when he, in the 27th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Paulo Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Rafael Viegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Coelho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Viegas having to make a save. After some careless play in the SC Sibilheiro defense, Eduardo Pedroso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mário Pinto. The SC Sibilheiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mário Pinto should have stopped the shot. After 42 played minutes Rebordoza FC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Borba. Rafael Viegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Coelho in the 43rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Santos during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Paulo Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eduardo Pedroso made a kick off. Rafael Viegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Gonçalves in the 52nd minute of the match. Paulo Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Simão Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Rafael Viegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Paulo Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Paulo Ribeiro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mário Pinto, passed just outside the right post. 82 minutes into the match, SC Sibilheiro's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Pedroso came free, but Mário Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mário Pinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Ribeiro in the 86th minute. Mário Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Pedroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, João Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Paulo Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Rebordoza FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. Eduardo Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Rebordoza FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rebordoza FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
