In the 20th minute Viriato Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Aleixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. SC Ega's Eduardo Aleixo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Mota in the 21st minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Lourenço Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Girabolhos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Ega the free kick. Filipe Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Eduardo Aleixo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Mota in the 34th minute of play forced SC Ega's goalkeeper Eduardo Aleixo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. David Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

David Pinho took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Oliveira. David Oliveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Viriato Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Aleixo having to interfere. After 65 minutes, Rafael Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Ega and the Girabolhos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th match minute, SC Ega was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Viriato Mota's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Aleixo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. David Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. David Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vicente Matias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
