The tension between the SC Sobreiro and the Ameixeraria players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Sobreiro's Cristiano Borges got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ameixeraria's zone, Francisco Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Óscar Faro came out of the goal and Francisco Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Ameixeraria's Miguel Vieira got a free kick in the 16th minute. The SC Sobreiro fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when SC Sobreiro's Tiago Sá looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Tiago Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Amílcar Guerreiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristiano Assis kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Vítor Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute Vítor Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Vítor Fernandes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Rocha. SC Sobreiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vítor Fernandes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiago Sá made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Francisco Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Faro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SC Sobreiro getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Emílio Fernandes hit a great ball. After 58 played minutes SC Sobreiro got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Dantas. Marco Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Rocha having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ameixeraria's Adolfo Vale got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Cristiano Assis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Óscar Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Francisco Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Sobreiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Lopes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Óscar Faro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Óscar Faro having to interfere. Óscar Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Sá in the 75th minute of play.
