Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Orvalho's Gaspar Mendes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 15 minutes into the game, Pedro Barros lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Albertino Azevedo. SC Orvalho's Delfim Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Miranda in the 19th minute of play. Abel Cabral hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Duarte Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Delfim Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Barros struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Albertino Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Orvalho. Delfim Moura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Duarte Miranda's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 42nd minute, Gaspar Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, SC Framqueira's Albertino Azevedo got control of the ball when Pedro Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Viana was the one to do the kick off. Abel Cabral's late challenge caught a SC Framqueira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Cabral helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Orvalho's Abel Cabral got a free kick in the 56th minute. Alfredo Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Moura having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Framqueira's zone, Pedro Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertino Azevedo came out of the goal and Pedro Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albertino Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Mendes in the 77th minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Joaquim Cabral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Orvalho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Framqueira the free kick. After 85 played minutes SC Orvalho got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Cabral. Pedro Barros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albertino Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of SC Framqueira:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Orvalho:s goal. 96 minutes into the match, Gaspar Mendes notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of SC Framqueira's Albertino Azevedo. Albertino Azevedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. SC Orvalho were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Framqueira for a fine match.
