Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Filipe Trindade kicked off to start the match. Jorge Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Carlos Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jorge Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílcar Ribeiro in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Alfeloas's Jorge Coelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sérgio Borba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sérgio Borba made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Vítor Dantas sent off a good shot on target. After 26 played minutes Alfeloas got a freekick which was hit by Américo Brás. After 37 played minutes, Laranjeiro FC's Sebastião Fontes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jorge Simões came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Laranjeiro FC reached it. Laranjeiro FC's Sérgio Borba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Coelho in the 47th minute of play. Jorge Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílcar Ribeiro in the 49th minute of play. After the first half Laranjeiro FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amílcar Ribeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amílcar Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A nice corner shot did that Sebastião Fontes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jorge Simões quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sérgio Borba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Américo Brás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Carlos Brás came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Laranjeiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Brás couldn't finish the play. 60 minutes into the game, Jorge Coelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alfeloas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laranjeiro FC the free kick. In the 60th match minute, Alfeloas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Coelho to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Carlos Santarém hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amílcar Ribeiro struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Jorge Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laranjeiro FC. 77 minutes into the match, Laranjeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Trindade came free, but Sérgio Borba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Sá lost his temper 78 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Laranjeiro FC's Sérgio Borba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Dantas in the 84th minute of play. Filipe Trindade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Borba having to interfere. The referee gave Alfeloas a penalty, 91 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bernardo Maia, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Laranjeiro FC's Sérgio Borba. 2-1. Laranjeiro FC's Sérgio Borba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Trindade in the 98th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Alfeloas fans cheered their team off the field, for while Laranjeiro FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
