After having played for 25 minutes, Daniel Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sandinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Lopes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Borges didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Lopes went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jorge Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viriato Fonseca was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, Rogério Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estremoz and the Sandinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st minute, Rogério Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Daniel Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Sandinha's Viriato Fonseca in the 58th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Daniel Borges was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Estremoz through an amazing save. If Jorge Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Garcia's late challenge caught a Sandinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th match minute, Estremoz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Garcia to maneuver through the defense. The Sandinha players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
