After 17 minutes, Lucas Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bentos and the Montargil players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th match minute, Bentos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Cunha to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes in the game, Basílio Sousa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Emanuel Torres having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Montargil's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Sousa came free, but Emanuel Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Raul Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Montargil getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Jacinto Campos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Sousa in the 61st minute of play forced Montargil's goalkeeper Emanuel Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Jacinto Campos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute Joaquim Trindade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Assis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
